Volunteer Opportunities

There are many small and large jobs that need doing. I desperately need volunteers to help with this massive site. The more volunteers the easier for every one. If you feel you bit off more than you can chew just say so and I will take over. You don't need to know anything. I will try to give you all the info and /or programs you may need to get started on what ever project you feel you would like to tackle. From there you will learn the ropes.
Jobs as small as one evening a month.

SOUND LIKE FUN - COME-ON TRY IT !

Club Internet Liaison Officers:

Your job if you should choose to accept would be:

To let your E-mail address be used to send and receive information about a specific club or clubs in your town. You would send us updates on your club/clubs that you feel should be on the Net & are not. Also keep an eye on the net looking for misinformation etc. You could also take to the club / clubs information you find that might be of interest to your group. Also see Club Page

 Web Basics by Frank McNeil

We are looking for some region web masters and some backup web masters.
To maintain and eventually completely take over the region pages for as long as you feel or are able to do this. I would be able to take it off your hands in a moments notice if you were wanting to be free for any length of time. Most Word processing programs allow you to save as HTML pages, that is a web page. it's as simple as writing a letter.  You can update this letter as needed. For anyone else that wants to go a little deeper into doing web pages their is another program called
NVU       Download this program then unzip it into a folder called NVU preferably in your program files folder if you want. Then run NVU form this folder that will install it. This is a free program so you can view, edit and design web pages . It is very easy to use, and has help. You would start by editing, this is a simple matter of cut and paste then adding text. This is as easy as writing a letter, then adding links etc.

Their are many other web designing programs available as well. You are free to use anyone that you like to use.

If this will not work please e-mail Phil @ info@squaredance.bc.ca

Their is another alternative for a club page. This is the easiest and their is no reason why every club can not have a club page with this system. All you do using what ever letter writing software you want or even notepad if that is all you want you can write out everything about your club that needs saying like the name, location days & months you dance. Executive names e-mail & addresses. How to contact your club & party night information.

After writing it all out just e-mail it to Phil Douziech I will make sure it is put on the web. When ever their is a change or different information available just update your existing page and send it back to me again. With this system Your club information can be kept up to date & be more accurate. also it makes it easier if your club want someone else to do it next year. At present we have a poor system that dose not do your club justice and we need to have more accurate information.

Just e-mail me  Phil Douziech and I can set up a free website for your club.
