Right this way for Festival fun! The facilities of the Vernon Recreation Complex allow all the dance venues at Festival 2009 to be adjacent each other for your convenience. Best of all, the parking is free.
Inside the main hall you’ll be impressed with the huge open area where the Mainstream square dancing is planned. The Festival will feature a panel of talented callers and cuers from around B.C. as well as other provinces and states.
Alongside the main hall in the Vernon Recreation Complex is the Dogwood Room where it’s planned to have the clog dancing.
The Festival will offer all phases of round dancing.
In this hall, known as the Halina Centre, a beautiful hardwood floor will greet the round dancers who are familiar with phases II and III.
It is planned that this impressive floor in the Priest Valley Gymnasium will host round dance phases IV to VI during Festival 2009. The gym is immediately adjacent the other dance venues, making it ultra-convenient to access your preferred dance style.
Your Festival hosts show the spacious area in the Vernon Curling Club where it is planned to lay wood flooring to accommodate the Plus program of square dancing. Again, this facility is immediately adjacent the other Festival dance venues.
An upper level room at the Curling Rink provides an excellent view of the Plus dancing on the floor below.
This room serves as a handy rest area for tired feet.
